Sheila Hlubucek founded Drift Farm in 2013 to provide flower lovers with seasonal, garden fresh flowers.
Her super power is finding beautiful annuals, perennials and shrubs that grow well in the Sierra Nevada.
As a No Till farmer working with rocky terrain, she grows flowers mostly in drifts rather than traditional rows, inspiring the name Drift Farm. She has cultivated an orchard and a meadow with native shrubs on her 2.5-acre property. The farm has sweeping views of Mount Rose and features massive boulders.
Drift Farm offers events where guests can tour the farm and then design bouquets in the studio to take home. Popular events include Peony Bouquets Tours in June and Dahlia Bouquet Tours in August and September.
Via this site, Sheila sells weekly bouquets to subscribers, occasional flowers, and event flowers, including small weddings. Sheila also sells 10-stem bunches of seasonal flowers directly to local floral designers.
You can pick up her designs at the farm or choose a drop-off location. Buyers also have the option of floral delivery to the doorstep.
